Qualcomm has recently announced the Snapdragon 732G, a follow-up to the brand’s midrange Snapdragon 730G. Compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 732G features improved AI technology and accelerated performance.
The chipset is made on an 8nm process. It has Qualcomm Kryo 470 octa-core CPU with a clock speed of up to 2.3GHz, and a faster Adreno 618 GPU which performs 15% faster in rendering graphics.
Paired with an X15 modem, the chipset supports 4G LTE and VoLTE, Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) with LTE call continuity, as well as HD and Ultra HD Voice (EVS). It has a download speed up to 800Mbps and supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
It features the 4th gen Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine that boasts up to 3.6 TOPS performance for intuitive, realistic gameplay. The chipset also showcases select Snapdragon Elite Gaming features such as True HDR Gaming for brighter visuals, Qualcomm Game Jank Reducer, anti-cheat extensions, and Physically Based Rendering (PBR) for more realistic gameplay.
As for the camera, the chipset can record up to 4K HDR videos with Portrait mode and real-time object segmentation, capture photos up to 192MP, as well as save photos, videos, and data at half the size of traditional file storage formats. For biometrics, it supports fingerprint, voice commands, face unlock, and Iris scan.
Qualcomm recently confirmed that the Snapdragon 732G will debut on an upcoming POCO smartphone.
